Everything posted online tells a story about us. These stories are powerful and can either help or hinder future endeavors.
Too often, entrepreneurs struggle to control their narrative, as personal/professional identities merge together online.
How are you defining your story?
This research explores the intersection of social entrepreneurship and online communication. It focuses on how social entrepreneurs showcase their identity, build their reputation and maintain their privacy online.
Over the next few months, I am conducting interviews with 60 millennial social entrepreneurs. Each interview lasts an hour and can be conducted in person or Skype.
Interview questions will address: the purpose of your organization, online communication strategies, identity, privacy and reputation management.
Those who participate will receive:
- A copy of my PhD thesis
- A set of online communication guidelines for social entrepreneurs
- An opportunity to have a 30 minute pro-bono consulting session (based on my findings)
This research promises to make significant practical and theoretical contributions to the field.
